Industrial Environmental Monitoring: EJIP’s Collaborative Project with MUSA Green and PT Alfapegasus

Project Date: 2021
Location: East Jakarta Industrial Park
In Collaboration: PT Alfa Pegasus

In an innovative partnership, MUSA Green has joined forces with PT Alfapegasus to assist East Jakarta Industrial Park (EJIP), one of the prominent industrial zones in East Jakarta comprising nearly 100 tenants. The primary focus of our project is to advance environmental monitoring to a new level. This collaborative effort is driven by the primary goal of delivering a cutting-edge online monitoring system that complies with the rigorous standards established by SPARING KLHK regulation in Indonesia. The overarching aim of this extensive project is not only to ensure compliance with regulatory mandates but also to enable the effortless monitoring of wastewater quality throughout the industrial park.

Problem & Challenge

The industrial landscape presents unique environmental challenges, and EJIP was faced with the daunting task of maintaining stringent water quality standards as mandated by SPARING KLHK. Traditional monitoring methods were cumbersome, time-consuming, and often prone to human error. EJIP needed a solution that could deliver real-time data on wastewater quality, enable historical data analysis, and provide immediate notifications in case of deviations from set standards. The challenge was to create a system that could efficiently monitor and report on various parameters with precision.

Solution

MUSA Green stepped up to the challenge by designing a multifaceted solution. The project’s core components include:

  1. Firmware Data Logger: A state-of-the-art firmware installed on data loggers capable of handling up to 5 sensor inputs. This firmware collects data from sensors and transmits it in real-time to the central monitoring system.
  2. Client Server: This integral component publishes data to the KLHK server, ensuring regulatory compliance. Simultaneously, it stores data in CSV format on local PCs, offering a redundant data backup system.
  3. Dashboard Web Interface: The user-friendly dashboard provides a comprehensive view of historical sensor data. Accessible via any online browser, it not only monitors hardware but also offers analytical insights. The system is designed to trigger notifications and alarms in case of anomalies, ensuring prompt action. Additionally, users can download monitoring data in CSV/Excel format for further analysis on remote PCs.
Benefit & Impact
  1. Regulatory Compliance: EJIP now effortlessly meets SPARING KLHK standards, eliminating the risk of non-compliance penalties.
  2. Real-time Monitoring: The system provides real-time data, allowing for immediate corrective actions in the event of deviations from acceptable wastewater quality levels.
  3. Data-Driven Insights: The dashboard offers in-depth analytical tools, empowering EJIP with actionable insights to optimize its wastewater management processes.
  4. Environmental Stewardship: By ensuring the highest water quality standards, EJIP and its partners contribute to environmental conservation and the sustainable growth of the industrial sector.
  5. Streamlined Operations: With an efficient monitoring system in place, EJIP can allocate resources more effectively and reduce operational costs.
