SPARING Integration at Lippo Cikarang

Project Date: 2020
Location: Lippo Cikarang
In Collaboration: PT Alfa Pegasus

Lippo Cikarang is one of an industrial park in Cikarang who have initiates to digital transformation. MUSA Green, in collaboration with PT Alfapegasus, is proud to support Lippo Cikarang in their mission to achieve environmentally responsible industrial operations. The project focuses on implementing an advanced online monitoring system to meet the stringent standards set by SPARING KLHK regulation in Indonesia.

Problem & Challenge

Lippo Cikarang’s industrial operations faced a critical challenge: the need to effectively monitor and manage wastewater to comply with SPARING KLHK regulations. Existing monitoring systems were outdated, lacking real-time data capabilities, and unable to provide the necessary insights. This challenge was not just about regulatory compliance but also about preserving the environment in the industrial zone.

Additionally, managing the sheer volume of data generated by multiple sensors presented a significant hurdle. Efficiently handling and analyzing this data in a timely manner proved difficult. Lippo Cikarang needed a solution that could not only ensure compliance but also proactively identify and address issues, all while guaranteeing data security and accessibility. In summary, the challenge was to find an integrated system that could bring efficiency and transparency to their SPARING monitoring, enabling them to navigate the complexities of environmental compliance in the industrial sector.

Solution

MUSA Green stepped in with a multifaceted solution to address the challenges faced by Lippo Cikarang. The key components of this solution include:

  1. Firmware Data Logger: MUSA Green developed a robust firmware data logger capable of handling data from up to five sensors simultaneously. This data logger ensures the reliable collection and transmission of sensor data.
  2. Client-Server System: A software package was created to be installed in the data logger, enabling the seamless transfer of data to KLHK servers and local PCs in CSV format. This real-time data transfer ensures that Lippo Cikarang stays in compliance with SPARING KLHK requirements.
  3. Dashboard Web Interface: MUSA Green designed an intuitive web-based dashboard that provides easy access to historical sensor data. This interface not only monitors hardware but also offers analytical insights. It includes a notification and alarm system to promptly address any errors. Furthermore, it allows for the convenient download of monitoring data in CSV or Excel formats to remote PCs.
  4. Cloud-Based Database: To store historical sensor data securely, a cloud-based database was set up using Google Cloud Platform with data centers located in Indonesia. This ensures data accessibility, scalability, and reliability.

Benefit & Impact

  • Improved Environmental Compliance: Lippo Cikarang now easily meets SPARING KLHK standards, reducing the risk of environmental violations and associated penalties.
  • Real-Time Monitoring: The online monitoring system allows for real-time data collection and analysis, enabling quick responses to any anomalies or issues.
  • Enhanced Analytical Insights: The dashboard provides valuable insights into sensor data, facilitating informed decision-making and process optimization.
  • User-Friendly Interface: The intuitive dashboard and user-friendly features make it easy for operators to access and interpret data.
  • Integration Possibilities: The dashboard can be seamlessly integrated into the client’s website, enhancing transparency and accessibility for stakeholders.
